Best Sword Ever Made?

In my opinion the best sword ever made was The Claymore but The Scimitar comes in at a close 2nd.

I'm for hammers and spears.Why do I need all those fancy moves when I can crush you in two?And I would use a maul-big enough to crush your skull,small enough to be accurate.As for spears-a good stab can kill anyone,ok slashing,potential guarding and range.
My dream set:Plate of impenetrable steel lighter than a feather(same for the armored pants),with diamond chainmail underneath,with heavy gauntlets that have a guard on top and studs on the knuckles,and a strap of daggers on my chest,with a broadsword strapped to my side,a cloak made of the softest,most durable and warmest silk in the world,and a maul on my back.
Now That,is awesome.

sounds cool but nothing beats a good old sword fight

I admit,swords are the best for civil duels,since they cant cause much damage to armored opponents,whereas a maul could actualy use it as an adavntage and hammer it,possibly splintering it and stabbing the opponent with it,or rattling them off balance.Though,a maul beats it in a real fight for the reasons previously stated.

A claymore is not a sword-its a blade.There is a difference.Yes,a katana might be able to cut a bullet in half,but:bullets arent nearly as hard as armor.Katanas where made for slicing unarmored spots and digging into flesah,not hacking through armor.

no a claymore is a sword its a scottish sword on average over 50 inches and mainly used as a two handed sword
Blade=Heavy sword able to crush and go through armor with relative ease,usualy 2 handed and very large.*Waits til we start editing this post and saying "its a blade" "sword" "blade" "sword" "blade"*

Trust me i should know i'm scottish and i have 2 of them
